Institutional Ownership:
High institutional ownership often indicates professional validation of a company's fundamentals. However, it can also mean increased volatility during market stress as institutions rebalance.
Insider Activity:
Insiders buying shares is often seen as a bullish signal - they have the most information about the company. Selling can be less meaningful as insiders sell for many reasons (diversification, taxes, etc.).
SEC Filings:
10-K (annual) and 10-Q (quarterly) reports contain detailed financial information. 8-K filings announce material events like acquisitions, leadership changes, or significant contracts.
